Project Disconnect Day 6

Day 6

Post production has already started and is almost near completion. Filming for the final scene that was left out was pushed back until the last weekend. This scene didn't take long to film because it did not include any actors.

Project Disconnect Day 5

Day 5

Filming took place at pjs 9/14.
I found out that the inconsistent weather and lighting affected my shooting. I had to wait until it wasn't too bright or too dark. I had extra actors to help out and I realized that directing many people at once is not easy.
It started drizzling a little bit and this would have affected my filming process. Fortunately, it didn't last for long and filming could be resumed. However, time was against us as it was becoming darker and the camera battery was dying.
Knowing this, I filmed the scenes which included the actor first. Some scenes are yet to be filmed so I would have to come back another day.

Project Disconnect Day 4

Day 4

Today filming took place at DK Senza since inside is quite remote. I learned that continuity is extremely important. When filming I noticed some props were misplaced and it did not make sense when a prop "magically" appeared in another scene. Also I found out that props must have a purpose being in a scene. If it does not bring any purpose then it does not have to be there.

Project Disconnect Day 3

Day 3

Filming took place at a myNEWS.com in DK Senza. Another convenience store that I filmed at was 7-Eleven. The reason why I had to change filming location is because the cashier kicked us out after taking too long to film. I had filmed for 3 hours at myNEWS and an hour at 7-Eleven.

Filming here was challenging as I had to film at an unfamiliar setting and the store had many customers. I had to wait until they left before I could continue filming.

Project Disconnect Day 2

Day 2

Filming began on a Sunday afternoon in Taylors Lakeside. I chose Taylors Lakeside because I needed an empty place. I also required to find a water fountain for one of my scenes.
Lighting was an issue as it was quite dark in the hallway. There were also many people that kept interrupting the shots and I had to film the same scene over and over again.

Prior to the filming day, I had to do my research on how to operate the camera settings. Balancing between shutter speed, exposure and ISO initially was challenging but I quickly got used to it.

Below is a behind the scenes.
